In 2010, Sean and Allison Cody started Joy Ride Tours to introduce tourists from all over the world to their favorite city: Amsterdam. After 10 passionate years of bike tours, they decided to leave for new pastures. They passed on their business to their local family friend Stephan. Since January 2020, Stephan continued what Sean and Allison had laid the groundwork for. Together with a small team of enthusiastic guides we continue showing you the highlights and hidden gems of our beautiful city and the surrounding country-side.

We believe having a personal connection with our guests is key to you having a good time. It is through this connection that a simple tour becomes a true experience. Our goal is to make you feel like you went through the city with a longtime friend. We focus on small groups, hosted by an experienced, approachable and local guide. We hire very selectively and only take the best and most social guides out there. Of course, our guides are also true experts in their field. When we select partners that complement our offering, we go through a rigorous process to make sure they are a cultural fit with us.
